Very expected game when 16th ranked Cagliari CUS (2-11) was crushed on the road by tenth ranked San Salvatore (6-7) 65-35. San Salvatore held Cagliari CUS to an opponent 24.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Cagliari CUS 48-33 including 34 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Canadian Melissa Rondinelli (184-91) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds. Ilenia Cordola (183-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four San Salvatore players scored in double figures. Forward Eugenia Caldaro (178-96) answered with 14 points and Bosnian power forward Natasa Tomasovic (185-93) added 2 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Cagliari CUS. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Salvatore moved-up to ninth place in A2.
