Bottom-ranked Al Shamal is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to third ranked Qatar Sports Club (7-1) 89-74 on Saturday evening. Qatar Sports Club dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Al Shamal's 44. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American guard Baden Jaxen (190-90, college: N.Carolina) nailed 31 points and 7 assists for the winning side and the former international center Mohd-Yousuf Mohmmed (204-82) accounted for 18 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Qatar Sports Club players scored in double figures. Qatar Sports Club's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. French center Alioune Tew (206-92, college: Niagara) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (196-91, college: Missouri, agency: MKP Management) added 18 points and 10 assists respectively for Al Shamal in the defeat. Qatar Sports Club have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Gharafa. Loser Al Shamal still closes the standings with eight games lost.
