Regular Season Round 13: Zaragoza - UCAM Murcia 73-77

Very expected game when 14th ranked Zaragoza (4-9) lost at home to tenth ranked UCAM Murcia (6-7) 77-73 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Zaragoza won fourth quarter 23-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-Senegalese point guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, college: Wichita St.) nailed 17 points for the winning side and British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) accounted for 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Gary Neal (193-84, college: Towson) came up with 14 points and 5 assists and FYR Macedonian-American point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans) added 12 points respectively for Zaragoza in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. UCAM Murcia maintains tenth place with 6-7 record, which they share with Andorra. Zaragoza lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with RETAbet BB. UCAM Murcia will meet at home higher ranked Baskonia (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zaragoza will play against Real Betis (#18) in Sevilla and hope to secure a win.
