Regular Season Round 15: Pescara - Civitanova 87-70

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Civitanova (8-7) lost on the road to second ranked Pescara (10-5) 87-70 on Saturday. Pescara dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Civitanova's 32. It was a good game for center Andrea Capitanelli (208-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Mathias Drigo (203-89, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Pescara players scored in double figures. Forward Riccardo Coviello (195-88) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and the former international guard Gennaro Tessitore (189-82) added 15 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in the effort for Civitanova. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pescara maintains second place in B with 10-5 record having five points less than leader San Severo, which they share with Lecco. Newly promoted Civitanova keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Pescara will face Bisceglie (#5) at home in the next round. Civitanova will play against Fabriano and hope to win that game.
