Regular Season Round 13: Remer Treviglio - Latina Basket 91-100

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Remer Treviglio (4-9) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Latina Basket (7-6) 100-91 on Saturday. Latina Basket made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game, while Remer Treviglio only scored six points from the stripe. Remer Treviglio was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Josh Hairston (203-92, college: Duke, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side Austrian-American forward Bryce Douvier (201-91, college: Texas A&M-CC) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and guard Tommaso Marino (192-86, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Remer Treviglio's coach Adriano Vertemati rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Latina Basket moved-up to eighth place in A2. Loser Remer Treviglio dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Latina Basket will face higher ranked Lighthouse TRP (#3) in Trapani in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Remer Treviglio will play on the road against Givova Scafati (#6) and hope to win that game.
