Regular Season Round 12: Al Riyadi - Tadamon 95-88

Date: December 23, 2017
Bottom-ranked Tadamon is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 12th consecutive match to third ranked Al Riyadi (10-2) 95-88. Al Riyadi dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Tadamon's 44. Strangely Tadamon outrebounded Al Riyadi 53-33 including a 23-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Mohamad Haidar (201-90, college: Michigan Tech) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) who added 25 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward John Bohannon (210-91, college: UTEP) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Antonio Ballard (194-88, college: Miami, OH) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Riyadi have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Champville. Tadamon at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Al Riyadi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beirut to the arena Sagesse.
