Regular Season Round 17: Sokol Lancut - Polfarmex Kutno 78-57

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Polfarmex (12-4) against fourth ranked Sokol Lancut (13-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Polfarmex was crushed by Sokol Lancut in Lancut 78-57. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Polfarmex. Sokol Lancut brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Point guard Kamil Zywert (185-96) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and power forward Rafal Kulikowski (205-85, agency: Promotex) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. Swingman Damian Janiak (195-89, agency: Promotex) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Mateusz Zebski (190-92) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Lancut moved-up to third place. Polfarmex at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Sokol Lancut will play against Nysa Klodzko (#15) in Kloszko in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Polfarmex will play on the road against Slask (#10) in Wroclaw and hopes to get back on the winning track.
