Regular Season Round 13: Lighthouse TRP - Viola RC 88-74

There was no surprise in Trapani where 11th ranked Viola RC (5-8) was defeated by third ranked Lighthouse TRP (9-4) 88-74 on Saturday. Lighthouse TRP shot 62.7 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) stepped up and scored 24 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners and American forward Jesse Perry (200-89, college: Arizona) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Lighthouse TRP's coach Vincenzo Ugo Ducarello used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward AJ Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian swingman Agustin Fabi (199-91) scored 16 points. Four Viola RC players scored in double figures. Lighthouse TRP maintains third place in A2 with 9-4 record having just three points less than leader Alma Trieste. Loser Viola RC dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Lighthouse TRP will face Latina Basket (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Viola RC will play against Agrigento (#4) and hope to win that game.
