Regular Season Round 17: GKS Tychy - Notec Inowr. 104-62

The game between seventh ranked GKS Tychy (8-8) and 14th ranked Notec Inowr. (4-12) in Tychy on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. GKS Tychy outscored guests from Inowroclaw 104-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Notec Inowr.. GKS Tychy shot 61.2 percent from the field. GKS Tychy looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Notec Inowr.'s players. Five GKS Tychy players scored in double figures. GKS Tychy's coach Tomasz Jagielka felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Lukasz Paul (205-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Grzegorz Malecki (195-84, agency: Promotex) added 19 points in the effort for Notec Inowr.GKS Tychy maintains seventh place with 8-8 record. Loser Notec Inowr. dropped to the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. GKS Tychy will face higher ranked Siarka (#6) in Tarnobrzeg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Notec Inowr. will play on the road against the league's second-placed Polonia Leszno (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
