Regular Season Round 14: Gravelines - Levallois 81-65

Date: December 23, 2017
Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Paris-Levallois (5-9) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (8-6) 81-65 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-65. Gravelines-Dunkerque looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Gravelines-Dunkerque made 7 blocks. Point guard Benjamin Sene (186-94) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Belgian guard Quentin Serron (190-90) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Gravelines-Dunkerque's coach Julien Mahe allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International Boris Diaw (203-82) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Paris-Levallois dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Gravelines-Dunkerque will face Chalons-Reims (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Paris-Levallois will play against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and hope to win that game.
