The most surprising game was the first loss of Entente Orleans 45 (10-1) on the court of eighteenth ranked Charleville-Mezieres on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Charleville-Mezieres 86-85. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Entente Orleans 45. Entente Orleans 45 was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 25-21 charge of Charleville-Mezieres, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Dom Morris (201-90, college: Boston U.) saved the victory by scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds. Bahamas guard Michael Carey-Jr (196-93, college: Wagner) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Kadri Moendadze (191-94) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Entente Orleans 45. Four Charleville-Mezieres and five Entente Orleans 45 players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Charleville-Mezieres maintains eighteenth place with 1-9 record. Entente Orleans 45 at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Charleville-Mezieres are looking forward to face higher ranked Sluc Nancy (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Entente Orleans 45 will play against ALM Evreux (#14) and is hoping to win this game.
