Regular Season Round 15: USE Basket - LTC Sangiorg. 69-81

There was a minor upset when higher ranked USE Basket (7-8) lost to twelfth ranked LTC Sangiorg. (7-8) in Empoli 69-81 on Saturday. It was a good game for forward Sebastiano Bianchi (195-92) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Andrea Tassinari (188-96, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four LTC Sangiorg. players scored in double figures. LTC Sangiorg.'s coach Daniele Quilici used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Lorenzo Raffaelli (190-99, agency: SPORTlab Agency) answered with 20 points and forward Gabriele Giarelli (200-93, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for USE Basket. LTC Sangiorg. moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated USE Basket. LTC Sangiorg. will face Varese Robur (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
