Regular Season Round 12: Perth - Melbourne 84-66

An interesting game for Perth Lynx (15-4) which hosted in Perth 4th ranked Boomers (11-9). First ranked Perth Lynx had an easy win 84-66. Perth Lynx forced 19 Boomers turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Courtney Williams (173-94, college: S.Florida) who led her team to a victory with 19 points and 7 assists. The other American import swingman Samantha Whitcomb (178-88, college: Washington) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Perth Lynx's coach Andy Stewart used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Jenna OHea (185-87) replied with 15 points and 6 assists and New Zealand forward Kalani Purcell (188-95, college: BYU) added 2 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Boomers. Perth Lynx have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-4 record. Boomers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Perth Lynx are looking forward to face league's second-placed Townsville Fire on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boomers will play against Dandenong Rangers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
