Regular Season Round 27: Toyotsu FE - Tokyo Z 62-52

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Toyotsu FE (15-11) beat 6th ranked Tokyo Z (9-17) in Nagoya 62-52 on Sunday. It was a good game for American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) who led his team to a victory with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Shohei Kozu (191-87) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Latvian center Ricmonds Vilde (211-90, college: Houston Baptist) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Kashiwagura Kashiwagura (180-95) added 7 points and 4 assists in the effort for Tokyo Z. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyotsu FE maintains first place with 15-11 record. Loser Tokyo Z keeps the sixth position with 17 games lost. Toyotsu FE will face league's second-placed Orange Vikings in Matsuyama in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
