Regular Season Round 27: Cyberdyne IR - Shinshu BW 70-66

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Cyberdyne IR's (13-12) home victory over 5th ranked Shinshu BW (11-15) in Tsukuba 70-66 on Sunday. They outrebounded Shinshu BW 39-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cyberdyne IR looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Cyberdyne IR's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Kazuya Mitsui (190-94) answered with 20 points and American center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Shinshu BW. Cyberdyne IR have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Gunma. Shinshu BW lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 15 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will have a break next round. Shinshu BW will play on the road against Bambitious Nara (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
