The game with biggest result difference took place in Yingkou. Local Flying Leopards (15-5) outscored 19th ranked Blue Whales (2-18) 123-91. Flying Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Blue Whales' 50. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The winners were led by American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: Dutt Sports Services) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international Ailun Guo (192-93) supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Five Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 35 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 5 assists by American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: San Diego St., agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Blue Whales. Center XiaoDong Chen (207-86) added 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Flying Leopards moved-up to third place. Blue Whales lost twelfth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom. Flying Leopards' next round opponent will be Xinjiang Flying Tige (#8) in Urumqi where they are favorite.
