The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Fubon Braves as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fubon Braves edged 6th ranked KKL at home 86-83. 24 personal fouls committed by KKL helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) fired 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Fubon Braves' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international swingman Jung-Hsuan Chang (192-87) added 23 points respectively for lost side. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Bank of Taiwan. KKL at the other side keeps the sixth place with five games lost. KKL will play next round against Taiwan Beer trying to get back on the winning streak. Fubon Braves will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Bank of Taiwan on the road.
