Regular Season Round 8: Garuda - NSH 72-64

Bottom-ranked NSH (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 72-64 loss to second ranked Garuda (5-2) in Bandung on Sunday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Roderick Flemings (203-87, college: Hawaii, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Devin Matthews (189-92, college: Cent.Washington) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Guard Brachon Griffin (185-92, college: Elizabeth City, agency: SDJ Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and forward Jason Carter (206-92, college: Texas Southern, agency: Haylett Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Garuda maintains second position with 5-2 record having just four point less than leader Satria Muda. Loser NSH still closes the standings with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
