No shocking result in a game when second ranked Beijing Great Wall (13-4) smashed at home 10th ranked Shandong (7-10) 88-53 on Monday. Beijing Great Wall dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Shandong's 40. They outrebounded Shandong 40-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American center Sylvia Fowles (198-85, college: LSU) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. International forward Ting Shao (183-89) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. The former international power forward Hengyu Yang (194-95) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Xiao Ji (193-85) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Beijing Great Wall. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Shanghai and Xinjiang. Shandong lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. Beijing Great Wall will face Whale (#12) in Sichuan in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Shandong will play at home against Liaoning Hengye and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
