There was a small surprise when nineteenth ranked Bayi Rockets (3-18) defeated 17th ranked Jilin Tigers (5-16) in Ningbo 108-97. Bayi Rockets made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Jilin Tigers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. International center Hao Fu (206-97) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and international guard Lei Meng (193-95) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) with 25 points and 4 assists and power forward Huaibo Dai (205-94) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jilin Tigers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bayi Rockets maintains nineteenth place with 3-18 record. Jilin Tigers at the other side keep the seventeenth position with 16 games lost. Bayi Rockets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jilin Tigers will play on the road against the league's leader Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
