Regular Season Round 12: Stelmet - BM Slam Stal 92-80

There was no surprise in Zielona Gora where 10th ranked BM Slam Stal (6-6) was defeated by fifth ranked Stelmet (9-4) 92-80 on Tuesday. Stelmet looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard James Florence (185-88, college: Mercer, agency: 3Eye) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Five Stelmet players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Michal Chylinski (196-86, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 16 points and Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-88, agency: 011 Sports) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Polski Cukier. Loser BM Slam Stal keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Stelmet will face GTK (#16) in Gliwice in the next round which should be an easy win for them. BM Slam Stal will play at home against Polpharma (#7) and hope to win that game.
