Regular Season Round 13: Mons-Hainaut - Aalstar 80-78

The most exciting game of round 13 in the Euromillions League took place in Jemappes. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Okapi Aalstar (7-5) to fourth ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (8-4) 80-78 in the game for the third place. Belfius Mons-Hainaut made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Guard Chris Jones (188-93, college: Angelo St.) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. Point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Vernon Taylor (192-87, college: Troy) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Okapi Aalstar. Belfius Mons-Hainaut moved-up to third place. Okapi Aalstar at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Belfius Mons-Hainaut are looking forward to face Limburg United (#6) on the road in the next round. Okapi Aalstar will play against Basic-Fit Brussels and is hoping to win this game.
