Regular Season Round 12: Jamtland - Umea 106-79

Date: December 27, 2017
The game between fourth ranked KFUM Jamtland (7-5) and 6th ranked Umea (4-8) in Ostersund on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. KFUM Jamtland outscored guests from Umea 106-79. KFUM Jamtland shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Umea's players. The winners were led by American forward Brandon Taylor (201-94, college: Penn St., agency: 3Eye) who scored that evening 22 points and the other American import center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by center Andre Nilsson (209-90) did not help to save the game for Umea. American guard Arik Smith (185-93, college: Cal Lutheran) added 15 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KFUM Jamtland moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Umea lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. KFUM Jamtland will meet league's leader BC Lulea on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Umea will have a break next round.
