Very predictable result when third ranked Flying Leopards (16-5) won against 9th ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (12-9) in Yingkou 127-113. Flying Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 94 of its points in the paint compared to Xinjiang Flying Tige's 54. They outrebounded Xinjiang Flying Tige 49-34 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Flying Leopards players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Xinjiang Flying Tige's players. American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: Dutt Sports Services) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds for the winners and the former international center Dejun Han (215-89) chipped in 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Flying Leopards' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Dutt Sports Services) with a triple-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 13 assists and the former international power forward TongLin Sun (208-92) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Five Flying Leopards and four Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Flying Leopards. They maintain third place with 16-5 record behind leader Guangsha L. Defending champion Xinjiang Flying Tige keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Flying Leopards will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play at home against Leopards (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
