A very close game took place in Panama City between Halcones and Panteras. Sixth ranked Halcones (4-5) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd placed Panteras (4-5). Halcones managed to escape with a 2-point win 72-70 in the game for the third place. The best player for the winners was Jamaal Levy (206-83, college: Wake Forest) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Scott Rodgers (191-87, college: Drexel) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Puerto Rican guard Jared Ruiz (188-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists and British V.Islands center Lester Prosper (208-88, college: Old Westbury, agency: Interperformances) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Halcones and five Panteras players scored in double figures. Panteras' coach Adriano Macias tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Halcones moved-up to third place, which they share with Toros and Panteras. Panteras lost fifth consecutive game.
