Top ranked Maccabi Rehovot (9-2) recorded its second loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were edged by thirteenth ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (3-8) 75-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Maccabi Rehovot. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Byron Wesley (196-92, college: Gonzaga, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Dallis Joyner (203-90, college: Stony Brook) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Forward AlLonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado, agency: Ron Sport) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Maccabi Rehovot players scored in double figures. Hapoel Kfar Saba moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Maccabi K/M and Hapoel Afula. Maccabi Rehovot at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Maccabi K/G. Hapoel Kfar Saba is looking forward to face Maccabi K/M (#12) in Kiryat Motzkin in the next round. Maccabi Rehovot will play on the road against Hapoel Galilee (#4) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
