Loser Cairns Taipans dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Illawarra Hawks will face higher ranked United (#3) in Melbourne in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cairns Taipans will play on the road against the league's second-placed New Zealand Breakers in Auckland and hope to win that game.
