Regular Season Round 15: Cambados - La Roda 70-88

Very expected game when 9th ranked Cambados (7-8) lost at home to fourth ranked La Roda (11-4) 88-70 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by La Roda. Cambados was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Carlos Noguerol (186-93) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four La Roda players scored in double figures. Norwegian forward Karamo Jawara (203-91, college: N.C.Central) answered with 12 points and 8 rebounds and guard Samuel Barros (190-98) added 14 points in the effort for Cambados. Cambados' coach Chiqui Barros tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for La Roda. They moved-up to second place, which they share with L'Hospitalet. Loser Cambados keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. La Roda will face Agustinos-Leclerc (#12) in Leon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cambados will play at home against Myrtia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
