Important game to mention about took place in Latina. Third ranked Lighthouse TRP (10-4) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked Latina Basket (7-7) 73-71 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. American point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-91, college: Metro St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 5 assists. Kenneth Viglianisi (193-92, agency: Players Group) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Lighthouse TRP players scored in double figures. Lighthouse TRP's coach Vincenzo Ugo Ducarello allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Josh Hairston (203-92, college: Duke, agency: Octagon Europe) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Latina Basket. Lighthouse TRP maintains third position in A2 with 10-4 record having just two points less than leader Alma Trieste. Latina Basket at the other side keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. Lighthouse TRP will play against Cagliari Academy (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Latina Basket will play against Virtus Roma and hopes to get back on the winning track.
