Beirut Club (#5) was upset in Beirut by eighth ranked Louaize 81-74. American forward Brandon Mobley (206-91, college: Seton Hall, agency: HMS) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Hassan Dandach (187-91) accounted for 12 points and 9 assists. The former international forward Bassel Bawji (203-89, college: Tulsa) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Rony Fahed (184-81) added 18 points respectively for Beirut Club in the defeat. Five Louaize and four Beirut Club players scored in double figures. Louaize (5-8) moved-up to seventh place. Beirut Club lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Moutahed. Louaize will play against higher ranked Sagesse (#4) in Beirut in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Beirut Club will play on the road against Byblos and hopes to get back on the winning track.
