Regular Season Round 16: Manresa - Prat 75-62

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when their biggest opponent CB Prat (12-4) was defeated on the road by third ranked La ICL Manresa (12-4) 75-62 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 44-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. La ICL Manresa dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to CB Prat's 28. They outrebounded CB Prat 39-27 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jordi Trias (208-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Noah Allen (201-95, college: Hawaii) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five La ICL Manresa players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Josep Perez (184-94) responded with 9 points and 4 assists and Romanian center Emanuel Cate (206-97) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. La ICL Manresa have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Prat. La ICL Manresa will face Lleida Basquet (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CB Prat will play against Barca II (#14) and hope to win that game.
