Very important is a road loss of second ranked Valga (8-4) against seventh ranked TTU (2-9) on Friday night. Visiting Valga was defeated by TTU in a tough game in Tallinn 85-89. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 27-22. But Valga won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TTU made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by swingman Oliver Metsalu (196-93) who scored that evening 20 points and 8 rebounds and international Sten Olmre (192-95, agency: Players Group) supported him with 24 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Four TTU players scored in double figures. Even 31 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Roberts Freimanis (204-91, college: BS Liepaja) did not help to save the game for Valga. Guard Edgars Lasenbergs (189-95) added 22 points and 5 rebounds. TTU maintains seventh position with 2-9 record. Loser Valga keeps the second place with four games lost.
