There was a minor upset in Logrono where 15th ranked Sammic ISB (5-11) was defeated by seventeenth ranked Cocinas.com (5-11) 75-58 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Cocinas.com. Sammic ISB was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Cameroonian forward Arnaud-William Adala-Moto (198-93, college: Towson, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) who added 15 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Yates is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Canadian guard Joe De-Ciman (198-94, college: Colorado St.) responded with 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and power forward Marcos Portalez (204-95) scored 8 points. Sammic ISB's coach Lorenzo Encinas rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cocinas.com moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Sammic ISB and Palma. Sammic ISB lost third consecutive game. Cocinas.com will face higher ranked Leyma Basquet (#13) in Coruna in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
