There was a change at the NBL leadership position after last games. Round 12 most important game was a defeat of league's leader New Zealand Breakers (11-6). They were edged by fourth ranked Adelaide 36ers (9-8) 88-85 on Friday night. Adelaide 36ers made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. The best for the losing side was Dominican-American point guard Edgar Sosa (190-88, college: Louisville) with 24 points and 5 assists and American guard DJ Newbill (193-92, college: Penn St.) scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. New Zealand Breakers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Adelaide 36ers maintains fourth position with 9-8 record. New Zealand Breakers at the other side dropped to the second place with six games lost. They share the position with United. They were replaced at the leadership position by Wildcats. New Zealand Breakers will play next round against Cairns Taipans trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Adelaide 36ers will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Bullets in Brisbane.
