There was a surprise result in Santiago de Comp where eleventh ranked Andorra (7-7) beat higher ranked Blusens Monbus (7-7) 77-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Andorra. Blusens Monbus was better in third quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. International point guard Jaime Fernandez (186-93) scored 19 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Slovenian Jaka Blazic (196-90) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Andorra players scored in double figures. American guard Matt Thomas (196-94, college: Iowa St.) responded with 18 points and Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Radovic (208-91, agency: BeoBasket) scored 10 points. Blusens Monbus' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Andorra moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Blusens Monbus. Blusens Monbus lost fifth consecutive game. Andorra will face bottom-ranked Burgos (#18) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
