Regular Season Round 22: Zhejiang GB - Jiangsu D. 112-105

The most important game in the last round took place in Hangzhou between second ranked Jiangsu Dragons (17-5) and eighth ranked Golden Bulls (14-8) on Saturday night. Jiangsu Dragons were defeated by Golden Bulls in a tough game on the road 105-112. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Jiangsu Dragons. They outrebounded Jiangsu Dragons 52-41 including 38 on the defensive glass. 30 personal fouls committed by Jiangsu Dragons helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) had a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Jarnell Stokes (201-94, college: Tennessee) chipped in 16 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) responded with 42 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and center Quanxi Wu (210-94) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Golden Bulls moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shenzhen L. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side keep the second position with five games lost. Golden Bulls will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jiangsu Dragons will play on the road against Jilin Tigers in Changchun and are hoping to win this game.
