Regular Season Round 12: Kalev/Cramo - Tartu Ulikool 86-70

An interesting game for Kalev/Cramo (13-0) which hosted in Tallinn 3rd ranked Tartu Ulikool (6-5). Top-ranked Kalev/Cramo had an easy win 86-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tartu Ulikool. It looked good early as Tartu Ulikool took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kalev/Cramo had a 23-18 second period charge getting the lead and Tartu Ulikool was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-86. Kalev/Cramo dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Tartu Ulikool's 26. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Sten-Timmu Sokk (184-89) who scored 17 points and 6 assists. American-Bulgarian power forward Cedric Simmons (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian Vytenis Cizauskas (187-92) who recorded 19 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kalev/Cramo have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-0 record. Tartu Ulikool at the other side dropped to the fourth place with five games lost.
