Date: December 30, 2017
Bottom-ranked Tadamon (0-13) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to second ranked Champville (11-2) 92-82. Champville players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Fadi El-Khatib (198-79) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists. American center Robert Upshaw (213-94, college: Washington) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. Champville's coach Ghassan Sarkis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward John Bohannon (210-91, college: UTEP) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Tadamon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Champville. They maintain second place with 11-2 record having just one point less than leader Homenetmen. Tadamon lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. Champville's next round opponent will be Al Riyadi (#3) in Beirut, which may be the game of the day. Tadamon will play at home against Al Moutahed (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
