Important game to mention about took place in Michoacan. Seventh ranked Aaguacateros (11-13) saved a 3-point victory at home edging higher ranked Soles (16-8) 96-93 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Soles. Aaguacateros shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The former international forward Stephen Soriano (200-85, college: Colorado Mesa) scored 33 points (!!!) (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSU Bakersfield) chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aaguacateros maintains seventh position with 11-13 record. Soles at the other side keep the third place with eight games lost. Aaguacateros will play against league's second-placed Mineros in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Soles will play against Toros and hope to get back on the winning track.
