The game in Tenerife supposed to be also quite interesting. 6th ranked Gran Canaria (8-6) played at the court of seventh ranked CB Canarias (8-6). CB Canarias smashed Gran Canaria 92-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by CB Canarias. Gran Canaria was better in fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CB Canarias shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Forward Javier Beiran (200-87) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Davin White (185-81, college: CS Northridge) chipped in 23 points during the contest. Four CB Canarias players scored in double figures. Swedish swingman Marcus Eriksson (201-93) responded with 20 points and the former international swingman Xavier Rabaseda (196-89) scored 18 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. CB Canarias moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Baskonia and Gran Canaria. CB Canarias will face Gipuzkoa (#14) in San Sebastian in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gran Canaria will play at home against RETAbet BB (#13) and hope to win that game.
