Regular Season Round 21: Nova Ves - Zilina 102-88

Bottom-ranked Nova Ves managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of fifteen consecutive losses. This time they won against ninth-ranked Zilina 102-88. Nova Ves players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Zilina's players. It was a good game for Swiss forward Michel-Ofik Nzege (203-92, college: E.Carolina) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. American guard Tyreek Jewell (188-93, college: St.Francis, NY) contributed with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American point guard Walter Wright (178, college: Montana) answered with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 8 steals and guard Robert Rozanek (190-96) added 27 points and 5 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Zilina. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nova Ves maintains tenth place with 3-18 record. Zilina lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 17 games lost. Nova Ves will play against league's second-placed Kosice on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zilina will play against Levice (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
