The game in Prievidza supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Rieker KN (11-10) played at the court of sixth ranked Prievidza (12-9). Prievidza smashed Rieker KN 103-78 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rieker KN. Prievidza forced 19 Rieker KN turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Jamaican-British forward Ryan Martin (206-91, college: Tenn Tech) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and American swingman Grant Sitton (206-93, college: Victoria) chipped in 25 points. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian guard Vuk Djordjevic (193-91) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian forward Sasa Jankovic (204-84) scored 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prievidza moved-up to fifth place. Loser Rieker KN dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Prievidza will meet Handlova (#8) on the road in the next round. Rieker KN will play against the league's leader Inter Bratislava and hope to secure a win.
