Regular Season Round 29: Kagawa FA - Fukuoka Rizing 84-83

Top ranked Fukuoka Rizing (23-5) recorded its fifth loss in Takamatsu on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by fifth ranked Kagawa FA (11-16) 84-83. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. Kagawa FA had a 33-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Montay Brandon (203-93, college: Florida St.) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Masahiro Kano (185-84) produced 18 points and 4 assists and the former international center Pape Faye (200-87) added 8 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kagawa FA maintains fifth place with 11-16 record. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing still keeps top position with five games lost. Kagawa FA are looking forward to face higher ranked Orange Vikings (#3) in Matsuyama in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fukuoka Rizing will play at home against Bambitious Nara and is hoping to win this game.
