Very important is a road loss of first ranked Novipiu Casale (11-3) against seventh ranked Legnano (8-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Novipiu Casale was defeated by Legnano in a tough game in Castellanza 65-74. Legnano made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. American Nikolas Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Alessandro Zanelli (187-92) chipped in 15 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (208-90, college: De Paul) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Brett Blizzard (191-80, college: NC-Wilmington, agency: Interperformances) scored 15 points. Five Legnano and four Novipiu Casale players scored in double figures. Legnano moved-up to sixth place in A2. Loser Novipiu Casale still keeps top position with three games lost. Legnano will meet NPC Rieti (#9) on the road in the next round. Novipiu Casale will play against Givova Scafati (#5) and hope to secure a win.
