Yulon Luxgen (#4) was upset in by seventh ranked Taiwan Beer 81-66. Taiwan Beer outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 43-31 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. International Po-Hsun Chou (197-91) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Yu-lin Zhang accounted for 16 points. Four Taiwan Beer players scored in double figures. The former international guard Shih-Yuan Chou (188-83) came up with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Yulon Luxgen in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Taiwan Beer maintains seventh place with 4-7 record. Yulon Luxgen at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with KKL. Taiwan Beer will play against higher ranked Dacin Tigers (#3) in Taipei in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yulon Luxgen will play against KKL and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
