Rather predictable result when first ranked Aishin Sea Horses (22-6) won against 4th ranked Diamond Dolphins (11-17) in Nagoya 92-80 on Sunday. Aishin Sea Horses looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Yoshiaki Fujinaga (173-92) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Diamond Dolphins. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses maintains first position with 22-6 record, which they share with Toyota Alvark. Loser Diamond Dolphins dropped to the third place with 17 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face Nishinomiya S. (#6) in Hyogo in the next round where they are favorite. Diamond Dolphins will play at home against Niigata Albirex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
