Regular Season Round 9: Fubon Braves - Dacin Tigers 64-81

The game between third ranked Fubon Braves (5-5) and sixth ranked Dacin Tigers (5-5) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Fubon Braves were defeated by Dacin Tigers 81-64. They outrebounded Fubon Braves 51-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 22 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners and guard Yi-Jie Su (182-87) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Dacin Tigers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-87, college: BYU-Hawaii) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Fubon Braves. Dacin Tigers is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Taiwan Beer (#7) in the next round. Fubon Braves will play against the league's second-placed Pauian (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
