Important game to mention about took place in Al Muharraq. Seventh ranked Al-Ittihad (10-7) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Al-Muharraq (12-4) 73-72 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Al-Muharraq. It was a good game for American forward Antwan Wilkerson (201-91, college: Johnson C. Smith) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds. Sayed-Mohd Hameed contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Mohamed Nasser replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Ali-Hassan Shukralla added 10 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Al-Muharraq. Four Al-Muharraq players scored in double figures. Al-Ittihad maintains seventh position with 10-7 record. Al-Muharraq at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Al-Ittihad will play against league's leader Al-Manama in Manama in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Al-Muharraq will play on the road against the league's second-placed Al-Ahli where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
