No shocking result in a game when first ranked Ryukyu GK (21-7) beat 5th ranked Shimane Magic (7-21) in Okinawa 77-68 on Tuesday. International forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) contributed with 12 points and 9 assists for the winners. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and his fellow American import Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Shimane Magic. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ryukyu GK maintains first position with 21-7 record. Newly promoted Shimane Magic keeps the fifth place with 21 games lost. Ryukyu GK will face Osaka Evessa (#4) on the road in the next round. Shimane Magic will play against Toyama Grouses and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
