Very expected game in Sopot where 12th ranked Trefl (7-8) was defeated by third ranked Twarde Pierniki (11-4) 90-72 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-72. It was a great shooting night for Twarde Pierniki especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: 3Eye) scored 19 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Lukasz Wisniewski (186-84, college: Barton Co. CC, agency: Promotex) chipped in 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. American center Steve Zack (211-92, college: La Salle) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Twarde Pierniki have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-4 record behind leader MKS DG, which they share with Stelmet. Trefl lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with eight games lost. Twarde Pierniki will face Stelmet (#4) in Zielona Gora in the next round.
